NOS cases made in the 70s, vintage 17 jewels Swiss handwound movements and handmade dials, the Heritage 72 is all about classic watchmaking.
So I was visiting my case factory a while ago hoping to score some free gaskets and I saw this dusted box sitting in the corner of the warehouse that has export markings on it. The factory owner said they made these watchcases for a French brand (now closed) back in the 70s but never sold them due to financial reasons. So.... some begging and bargaining later, they are in my possession.
Since these are cases made some 50 years ago, of course I have to pair them with vintage movements as well, and what better choice than the popular and reliable handwound 17 jewels Swiss FHF96 movement.
~ Swiss FHF96 manual movement
~ Case diameter 36x39mm
~ Thickness 11mm
~ Handmade dial with brass indices
~ Domed acrylic crystal
~ 18mm geniune leather band
~ 3atm/30m water resistance
The cases and acrylic crystals were made more than 50 years ago, eventhough they are new old stock items, it is still inevitable to have some light to small blemishes. I opt not to refurbish/repolish them and rather keep them the way it is because I want the traces on time to be seen on the watch.
The dials are handmade by me, if you have an idea of a dial color you'd like to see, leave a message, I'll do it in my spare time and put it on sale if the color turns out to be fabulous.
