I was visiting my case factory a while ago hoping to score some free gaskets and I saw this dusted box sitting in the corner of the warehouse that has export markings on it. The factory owner said they made these watchcases for a French brand (now closed) back in the 70s but never sold them due to financial reasons. So.... some begging and bargaining later, they are in my possession.
Since these are cases made some 50 years ago, of course I have to pair them with vintage movements as well, it wasn't easy finding vintage movements in large quantities, luckily Taiwan was the OEM hub for lots of watch brands in the early days and I was able to track down an inventory of vintage German INT manual movements from an antique watch shop.
Each dial is hand painted and printed, I have just 50 cases left so I want to do something fun with the dial, instead of the polished brass hour indices on the Mark II series, I hand filled the hours with random colors, each dial will be unique in its own way.
